Brief

Hong Kong-based Gin Group approached WeSuperseed to create an original brand identity for their new restaurant, Amakusa. The brief was straightforward - they wanted branding that integrated traditional Japanese art with clean and modern minimalism.

Solution

WeSuperseed came up with a concept that featured calligraphy brush strokes for the logo and menu art, while using modern typeface and graphical spacing to bring it into the “now” – ultimately bringing together elements that are distinctly Japanese with modern details that are now unmistakably Amakusa.

WeSuperseed assisted Amakusa in conceptualizing their logo, business cards, menu design, and advertisement hoarding.
